At the entrance to the village of old Mougins in an elegant stone house is a cultural nugget not to be missed during your stay on the Côte d'Azur.
The Mougins Classical Art Museum (MACM) invites you to discover its prestigious collection, which brings together works of art ranging from antiquity to the present day.
The Museum of Classical Art was founded in 2011 by Christian Levett, philanthropist and collector who wanted to exhibit his large collection of antiques and works of art to the public.
The permanent collection is divided into five main categories :
A neat scenography where antiquity and modernity are juxtaposed.
The MACM aims to bridge the gap between antiquity and modernity. Through a careful scenography, the classic and contemporary works of the collection are put into perspective with the antique pieces. A “mirror” exhibition to immerse you in the history of civilizations and which has earned the MACM numerous awards.
The Mougins Classical Art Museum is open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
